October 15-16, 2011.

Packed up and ready to go on our weekend trip to Santa Barbara.

Popped by my parents’ house to pick up my credit card.
The dogs were home and excited.

Next thing you know, we’re almost there!

The Hampton Inn, Goleta.

The patriotic view from our hotel room.

Journeyed over to State Street for some dinner before the show.

Discreet little adult store. So out of its element.

Saul showing off what an Android can do.

Natural Cafe. We had the veggie burgers. SO delicious.
(If you didn’t catch in a previous post, Saul and I have gone vegetarian and we love it. Almost two weeks strong!)

We arrived at the Santa Barbara Bowl just as Explosions in the Sky began to play.
Our second time seeing them and they never fail to exceed expectations.

We sat in the first row, directly behind the pit.
They also gave us wristbands, so we were able to go into the crowd as we pleased.

My first time seeing Death Cab and they were so great.
I loved that they played a variety of their old music as well.
They ended with Transatlanticism, which couldn’t have been any more perfect.

Closed the night off with some Jack in the Box, hot chocolate and The Boondocks.

Woke up the next morning to go downstairs and hoard some continental breakfast.
Once we brought it back upstairs and started eating, everything tasted so fake and processed. Just… gross.
Oh well. Can’t complain much about free things.

Squeezed in some homework before checkout.

Goodbye, Room 335!

This elevator was probably the only downside of our hotel.
It took so long and there were only three stories. Wtf?!

There was another Natural Cafe down the street from our hotel, so we stopped by to get some food for the road.

Goodbye, SB! You were so much fun! :)
